Add two level scoops—approximately 30 g—to a saucepan. Gently warm over low heat while slowly adding one cup of water. Stir until completely smooth and never allow the cacao to boil. Add cinnamon, chilli, vanilla, natural sweetener or plant milk if desired.
How much cacao is in one serve?
A traditional serving is approximately 30 g. One level IXNARA ceremonial spoon holds approximately 15 g, so use two level scoops for a full serving. If you are new to ceremonial cacao, you may prefer to begin with a smaller amount.
